      <title>LEE &amp; GRANT EXHIBIT</title>

      <description>September 01, 2010 - October 20, 2010&lt;br/&gt; The exhibit provides a major reassessment of the lives, careers, and historical impact of Civil War generals Robert E. Lee &amp; Ulysses S. Grant.  The exhibit presents photographs, paintings, prints, coins, reproduction clothing, accoutrements owned by the two men, documents written in their own hands, and biographical/historical records to reveal each man's historical and cultrual context.       <description>September 01, 2010 - October 20, 2010&lt;br/&gt; NEH's On the Road (smaller) traveling exhibit version of Lee &amp; Grant (larger exhibit previously seen in St. Louis) created by Virginia Historical Society and now toured by ExhibitsUSA &amp; Mid-America Arts Alliance of Kansas City. Free admission. For more info and program schedule see www.powersmuseum.com. NOTE: Sunday hours will be limited to afternoon only, otherwise Tues.-Sat. 10 am to 5pm. Group tours at other times/days with appointment.  Mondays reserved for school and other educational group tours.</description>

      <title>MARSHALL BATTLE DIG</title>

      <description>October 08, 2010 - October 11, 2010&lt;br/&gt; This 3 day Civil War archaeological excavation sponsored by Missouri's Civil War Heritage Foundation and Missouri Valley College will be led by world renown archaeologist Doug Scott and his team.  This excavation hopes to unearth artifacts and remnants of the Battle of Marshall which took place October 13, 1863.  The public is welcome!</description>
